Banana Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

These cookies are so yummy, and semi-nutritional with the banana’s and oatmeal in there. Super moist and I threw tons of chocolate chips (because I’m a chocoholic) so needless to say they were realllllly addicting!

I made these for a wine tour I went on at the Finger Lakes. Obviously chocolate pairs well with wine, and the oatmeal help absorb so we could continue our 6 hour day of tasting!

I think what we all agreed was the best is the texture of them. Moist with chewy oats and soft chocolate chips… I’m still drooling!!

  • 1 cup smashed ripe banana’s (about 2 small)
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups old fashioned oats
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 3 cups chocolate chips (18 oz)

  1. Preheat oven to 350F
  2. Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl. Beat with a mixer at med speed until smooth. Add egg beat well.
  3. Combine flour, oats, baking soda and salt into med bowl. Add dry mixture to wet mixture at med speed until well blended.
  4. Hand mix in chocolate chips
  5. Drop batter by the tablespoons, 2 inches apart onto baking sheets. Bake for 10 mins.
  6. Cool on sheets 2 mins, then cool completely on wire racks.

The banana chocolate combination just can’t be beat and it doesn’t hurt one bit that they are moist and made with oatmeal!
