Happy Belated Birthday Marielle!

My birthday was June 27th, but none of my family had camera’s on them, so we finally gathered all the pictures from the girls to make a very belated post!

We spent the weekend at the lakehouse and the weather was absolutely gorgeous and sunny. The dinner spread was Marinated Grilled Alaska Salmon which we also used on the Chicken in the upper left, Couscous, Roasted Potatoes, Spinach & Pepper pasta salad, and a Fresh Green Salad.

Now, that’s the main course… we also had a few appetizers:

Stuffed Mushrooms with Sun-dried Tomatoes, Goat Cheese and Olives

Beer & Onion Boiled Shrimp

and of COURSE my Chocolate Chip Pound Birthday Cake! I’ve been having this cake for the last 10 birthdays, now we’re at the point where we make 2 because it gets gobbled up and we end up eating it for breakfast! OH SO GOOD!

Mom found my old birthday hats from when I turned FIVE so we thought it would be hysterical to wear them… although our heads have gotten a lot bigger since then… they didn’t last long with the circulation to our brains being cut off… HAHA geez That’s a lot of candles!!

Here’s some of us at the Beachcomber getting some cocktails and dancing to the live band. Such a great birthday! 🙂

It was a fabulous birthday! The food was so fresh and flavorful but we didn’t feel heavy and bloated after- just completely satisfied. These recipes are fabulous!! What did I bring again?…oh yes….the wine 🙂

    1. You brought the most important thing! 🙂 Without that, nothing would have tasted as good 😉
